DSL Issue
No Sync :
Checked the physical connection,
Reseted and Power cycled the modem
Reprovisioned the Line [IF LPV]
Connected the modem directly to the phone jack
Informed the customer length of the phone cable should be 6 ft
Moved the modem at least 3 ft away from the computer
Checked for interfering devices
Tried the modem into different phone jack
Asked to check at NID
Filled the UTT
Intermitent Sync :
Reseted and Power cycled the modem
Reprovisioned the Line [IF LPV]
Removed the Splitter and filters to check if any gone bad
Connected Modem Directly to the phone jack
Connected modem to a different jack in the wall
Changed the phone cable
Placed filters on all the phones
Tried removing all other phone lines
Checked computer and modem is away from all interfering devices
Checked for house alarms
Asked user to check for Sync at NID
Filled the UTT
Sync No Connect or Authenitication Issue :
[While connecting into modem page specially found it in zyxel 660 elnk]
Pulled up the modem page, entered user name and password twice,
Got error username and password does not match to the existing A/c,
Checked in Midas whether the eu is typing correct user name and password,
Checked in Seaborg
Rebooted the PC
Did Internet Options and deleted cache cookies and temp internet file,
Also do a cleared forms and cleared passwords
Reseted tcp/ip [netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt]
Reseted Winsock [netsh winsock reset catalog.txt]
Restarted the PC and tried again, still the same
So Bridged the modem
And Created connectiod
Still the same issue, filled the UTT
Sync No Connect If There is no modem page & NIC and modem is pinging :
Reseted and power cycled the modem
Checked for the Ethernet cable, tried swapping ends still no go
Reseted TCP/IP [netch int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt]
Tried to pull up modem page no modem page still not able to
Hard coded IP subnet and default gateway
Tried to pull up the modem page
Tried to ping NIC and MODEM
Reseted Winsock [netsh winsock reset catalog]
Restarted the pc
Still no modem page
Reseted IE By INETWIZ commandStill no modem page
Tried with a different browser
Still no modem page
Refered it to OEM as its a browser issue.
Sync No Connect When There is no modem page & nic is not pinging :

Checked for the Ethernet cables still no go

Tried to pull up the modem page still no go
Tried to ping nic if nic is not pinging Try to ping modem
Reseted tcp/ip
Restarted the PC
Again hard coded IP subnet and default gateway,
Still nic is not pinging modem is pinging
Tried uninstall and reinstalling nic drivers
Still NIC is not pinging
Did Route Print in DOS PROMPT
Checked under metric column if u have below 7 and above 7
Refered to as a OEM,

Reseted and power cycled the modem
Checked for the Ethernet cables still no go

Tried to pull up the modem page still no go
Tried to ping nic [NIC is pinging]
Tried to ping modem [modem is not pinging]
Tried to swaps the Ethernet cables
Set Nic on half duplex
Then tried to ping modem
Still modem is not pinging
Uninstalled & Reinstalled nic drivers [Only in win XP]
still modem does not ping,
So filled RMA.
Slow Browsing :
Power cycled modem, Restarted computer,
Disconnected the ROUTER,
Checked speed at www.2wire.com
Splitter - modem line is not filtered, phone line is filtered,
Checked for filters on all the phone jacks except the modem jack
Asked to shift the cordless phone to another phone jack,
Checked the length of the phone wire between modem and phone jack should be 6ft
Deleted cookies/temp internet files, set security settings to default level,
Disabled Antivirus & Firewall,
Did %temp% & deleted all the files
Did prefetch & deleted all the files,
Did Ipconfig /flushdns,
Reseted TCP/IP [netsch int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt]
Did Route print
Did msconfig and disabled it,
Set NIC to half duplex,
Restarted the computer
Checked speed again at www.2wire.com
So created the UTT
Did Registry Fixed for "Slow connection" [https://ispworld.webnode.com]
Error 678 :
Tried to ping nic [If nic is not ping pinging]
Tried to ping modem [Modem is pinging]
[If modem is not pinging it can be a RMA]
Reseted tcp/ip [netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt]
Restarted the computer,
Again hardcoded IP Address, Subnet and Default Gateway,
Still nic is not pinging and modem is pinging
Tried uninstall and reinstalling NIC drivers
Did Route print in DOS PROMPT
Checked under metric column Which should be 7 lines [Not above 7 or Not below 7]
