ETV Issues

 

No Dial Tone & Cannot MAKE or RECIEVE CALLS :-
 
[Check the Internet Connection first if cable user and do not have internet connection...transfer to cable if dsl troubleshoot for dsl first]
 
Then check the connection Setup :- 
1. Wall Jack to Modem for DSL line
2. Modem Ethernet (yellow cable) to blue port in the adapter
3. Adapter yellow port (Black cable) to the Computer to Ethernet Port
4. Phone should be plugged into Line 1 of the ATA
{If there is a router ask the customer to bypass the router

 
Troubleshooting steps :- 
Checked SR2, Midas & Sonus
Then checked the lights status on the adapter.
Deleted & Updated the information on the Svc. level in Midas then refreshed the account.
Manually Rebooted the ATA with ****732668#
Reseted the ATA ****877778#1
Power cycled in Sequence according to their Setup
Did MAC CLONING,
Turned off the Computer & ATA then Reconnected the Setup and after waiting for 5-7mins, Then turned on Devices in Sequence,

 

ETV Static, Echo, Choppiness & Dropped Call

[WITH ROUTER
Opened your browser as going to a web page.
Opened 192.168.0.1
Adjusted the number first to -9.
Submited the changes.
Still heared the echo,
Tested internet connection speed.
Checked connection quality.
Checked for the packet loss
Did trace route to check for bad hops.
Did tracert (IP address) and press enter.
Did enabled port forwarding for ports 5060-5061, 53-53, 69-69, and 10000-20000. for router
Checked for ad/spy/malware.
Turned off computer and try making another call.
Turned off the Bandwith Saver in my voice page for  Choppiness
Still not solved so told to purchase the new ATA from outside or told to upgrade the service to LPV Service,

 

[Programs running on the system may be competing for bandwidth and interfering with call quality. If call quality improves with computer off, have user run spyware/adware sweepers on system to clear out any programs that may be running in the background. Also tell customer that downloading files (torrents, etc.), streaming data, or other internet-intensive activities can impact call quality]
